Looking back: Welcoming Andy Western MP to George Carnall

Back in May, we were pleased to welcome Andy Western MP to George Carnall Community Hub to see first-hand what goes on here every day.

It was a chance to show how our community hub is much more than a gym or a sports centre. From local schools and young people to health partners and community groups, there's always something happening under our roof.

During the visit, Andy met members of our team, alongside colleagues from Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Ian Bennett, who leads the ProVision Sixth Form programme at Egerton High School. It was a great opportunity to talk about the partnerships that help make George Carnall such an important part of the local community.

Every week, people of all ages come through our doors to exercise, learn new skills, meet friends, volunteer or simply enjoy a brew and a chat. None of that happens on its own. It takes local organisations working together with one shared goal, making our community healthier, happier and more connected.

We're always proud to show people what makes George Carnall special. It's not just the building; it's the people inside it.
